Purchased a silencer from Silencer Central. A Form 3 transfer. ATF approval was quick. 14 days and counting and they still have not shipped. They are liars and cheats. They promise to ship. They gave me a tracking number, but the label was created but USPS has not received it. Beware of these losers. Horrible customer service.

Sorry for your experience. I have a long list of issues with them. First they refused to let a local shop handle a transfer. They are doing everything they can to hurt the small businesses. A good local business is always the best option. These online businesses are going to do little to help. It’s likely they don’t even have the suppressor in their inventory. If it’s one of their products they may not have it even built.
Sorry for the rant I am so sick of online businesses. Grab a gun today is selling a Glock 43x for 399.99 the dealer cost is 394.99 through my distributors MAP IS 448.00 but whatever. A small local shop can’t stand a chance.
Next time you order online remember your local guy is only making a small amount your paying for the customer service. SUPPORT LOCAL!

Absolutely right. I have learned my lesson. Silencer Central = POS.

I have no love for Silencer Central, but I think what you are describing is consistent with the required process.

Capitol Armory is a very legit shop who also does direct-to-your-door suppressor sales. This is what their FAQ explains for those customers:

“If you would like it shipped directly to your residence, there are a few extra steps involved. We will have you complete a digital ATF Form 4473. Once you complete the form, sign it digitally, and submit it, we will notify the CLEO in your state that we are conducting a non-over-the-counter sale to you. We provide your contact information but do not include the details of your order. We are required to wait seven days from the date they receive the notice before we can ship your item. Due to the CLEO notification and seven-day waiting period, the shipping process may take 2-3 weeks from the date you complete the ATF Form 4473. Once the waiting period has expired, we will ship your item to the address on your ID/DL/LTC, and you will receive a tracking number for the shipment. We ship all items via UPS ground with adult signature required.”

I ship things all the time and recently have multiple tracking numbers that take all the way until delivery to update. So just because the tracking doesn’t show anything….doesn’t mean it isn’t on the way

this was a Form 3 transfer, I have a 07 and SOT. ATF approved in less than 2 days. These morons just won’t ship.

Considering ATF has approved, it is in my FFL inventory on the ATF portal, and 14 days later they still have not shipped. This is a transfer to a dealer and NOT an individual. Silencer Central again, = POS
