Pretty much anything works. I like anything with a corrosion inhibitor. Lately I've been using EEZOX on everything.

Mobile One motor oil.
If it’s good enough for high revving, tight tolerance, super car engines, it’s plenty good for a slow moving, sloppy fitting, Uzi bolt.

Plus 2. It has kept my little civic going for 283k miles. It should be OK for an Uzi (or Mac).

Hi,

Mobile 1. Doesn't thicken with cold temperature, doesn't change viscosity with time, doesn't turn to varnish, smell doesn't upset my wife.

Enjoy,

K2

People feel good about spending $10 for a small bottle of the latest, greatest lube. Years ago I bought into this too. Today I think it’s silly. Today I assemble all the CF-W bolts using Mobil One. It’s not a cost factor, I simply believe it’s the best lubricant available and over the years I’ve used them all.

Mobil 1 !!

Been using it for years in everything from belt feds to subguns.
Over the years I have seen the latest and greatest over priced "miracle" gun lubes come and go.

Thin is better year-round. 0W-40 would be great. I use 0W-20.

Experimented with Rotella 5W-40, works great in warmer weather. Especially gas systems. But not in the Maine subzeros.

Did some experiments with CLP vs M1syn and the M-16. M1 about doubled the rounds-to-choke.

In warm climates a synthetic grease also works well with Uzis.

Dont use grease during the winter. Been there done that with Tetra Grease, acts more like Tetra Glue.
