There is a guy on Glock Talk, and a few other sites, with the handle of FAL. He is from Argentina and has some FIRST HAND info on what happens when the economy/Gov collapses.

He discuses weapons, ammo, security, trading material, what to stalk up on etc. Stacks of $100 bills aren't much good when trying to buy a few gallons of gas, One ounce Eagles, Maples, or Krugerrand's besides being overkill for a loaf of bread, it targets you for robbery.

We THINK we are ready for the 'melt down' but reading about someone who lives that is pretty valuable.

A hidden bunker stacked with food an ammo is the ticket, at least until the roving bands of cannibals come and catch you unawares.

At least that's the lesson I learned from The Road by Cormac McCarthy.

Search FerFal, Fernando aguirre is his name, he has a blog and and books on Amazon. I've Bought both, more to support the guy, his blogs are pretty good. Real world has lived through a complete collapse stuff.
