On the lighter side, I’m probably the only forum member “On the cover of Machine Gun News”, I think it’s cooler than “On the cover of the Rolling Stone”…View attachment 40970
I didn’t realize BQM was related to Mitch. I grew up in Marietta and Kennesaw in the 80s and 90s and used to love to go to that store.I never did berets, I think Hildegard still had the one Mitch wore in the glass display cabinet in her living room with his Afghan General tunic last time I was there. Yeah I was around for several film crews, and did work with BQM for a while in 86. Helped clean all Mitch’s guns displayed in the office at BQM once too. First time I had to play with a dealer sample Stechkin, they were hard to find in the 80’s.
Do you recall the name of the Marietta range by chance?View attachment 40965

Mitch’s son (or sons, not sure if Geoff was involved) owned BQM. They are in a lot of the catalogs, modeling some of the camo clothing. I collect vintage BQM stuff, the catalogs as well.I didn’t realize BQM was related to Mitch. I grew up in Marietta and Kennesaw in the 80s and 90s and used to love to go to that store.

It was the Bulletstop, on Sandtown rd. Marietta. That’s where we did some classroom stuff, just took over a side of the indoor range.Do you recall the name of the Marietta range by chance?
Mitchel IV and Geoffrey were the owners of BQM, it was originally on Roswell st. Marietta, moved around 1985 to a huge building on hwy 41n. They sold these cool boxes around 1983 when they were on Roswell st., in an old bank building I think.Mitch’s son (or sons, not sure if Geoff was involved) owned BQM. Best I remember that different beret patch was just a regular Cobray patch that Carlotta cut down and sewed to that beret. She did the web sewing stuff in the old boathouse. It looks like EAGLE magazine took a lot of their photos at the Cobray/SIONICS center. Here’s the cool berets..

The big location on Highway 41 was the one I used to go to. Kind of across from the Sparkles roller rink.Mitchel IV and Geoffrey were the owners of BQM, it was originally on Roswell st. I won one of these on eBay a few months ago, the seller had misquoted the shipping then tried to tell me it was gonna cost over 100 bucks to ship so I passed on it… wish he could have figured out a cheaper way to ship. I’ve got a mint BQ zippo in my collection as well as cufflinks and various other items. I always loved their logo.Mitchel IV and Geoffrey were the owners of BQM, it was originally on Roswell st. Should have seen BQM back in the day, it had an awesome showroom loaded with militaria from all over, and in the back they had a sale section of one-off samples of just about everything but actual guns. Including some MAC stuff. The 80’s in Atlanta rocked. Btw, Found one of the Sionics patches.I won one of these on eBay a few months ago, the seller had misquoted the shipping then tried to tell me it was gonna cost over 100 bucks to ship so I passed on it… wish he could have figured out a cheaper way to ship. Carlotta apparently sewed up a bunch of suppressor covers in that boathouse that BQ was going to sell and never did, I have one of them for the M11 .380, it came from a friend who got it from Geoff, it’s a tougher nylon canvas type of material than the RPB covers, with nomex lining of course.
