I am not a fan of folding stocks as on my Golani especially the floppy worn ones and I do like the AR adjustable ones. Question is, when is somebody going to design and market something like Tapco's T6 stock that will fit a Golani ?

I would never suggest such an idea to you IMI Galil purists or collectors as an afterthought and if I had an IMI Galil I wouldn't consider that alteration.

Looks like you would have to take your Galil/Golani folding knuckle apart and install this stock in place of the Galil/Golani folder.Shouldn't take more than a couple minutes.

Jet, I looked there but could not find one..is there an adaptor to go from the Galil rear of the receiver to an AR type stock?

Not to my knowledge but availablilty to a lathe and a pipe threader would make it a simple deal. Machine a steel tube large enough to thread the aft inner for an AR stock & locknut, probably about an inch or inch and a half, then machine forward of that to approx, 1.100 inches in diameter to fit into the Golani with a hole drilled through for the retaining pin. That section would be approx. .540 " in length. So the total length would be about 1 1/2 inches long, .540" in the front part and perhaps 3/16th larger than the AR tube in the threded section, Then finished like the rest of the rifle.

I don't have a lather but know somebody that does but its some distance from where I am...

After an overnight sleep & re consideration I believe the above stock is the answer but the $300+ cost puts it out farther in the future...

My homemade idea would likely look like a bull's a-- sewed up with barbed wire !

I should be able to get you an AR style tube that will fit into the rear receiver just like the factory, except it will not fold.
