Gun was purchased through DealerNFA. It was a RR gun with the blocking bar removed. I wanted it converted to full MG Spec. I sent the gun to John Andrewski who did a beautiful job on it. His attention to detail is great. Here's what he did to it. 1 removed finish 2 Park gun 3 paint gun matte black. 4 bake in oven, 5 weld and re drill hole in lower to accept MG pin size 6 install proper MG size sear 7 Stamp "SMG UZI" to receiver. 8 remove barrel restrictor ring ( Semi Auto feed ramp left in place) 9 test function with two IMI Bolts. Here are some pictures.

Excellent! Mr. Andrewski has done excellent work on several of my MGs, including my registered bolt Uzi.

Looks nice! Does a mg with the blocking bar removed but restrictor ring in still sell for a discount?

I doubt it. There are a lot of people who will argue to keep the restrictor ring in place. I wanted it to be just as IMI made their full autos back in the day sans the park only finish and the semi feed ramp which are improvements over the original design.

Why keep the RR in place? I can see leaving the Semi Auto Feedramp part & your Semi Auto Trunnion maybe. Did Andrewski enlarge your Trunnion to SMG Specs?

How's your gun run now?

Congrats! That's a nice looking SMG.

Yes, Andrewski enlarged the trunnion to accept the larger diameter SMG barrel. It runs 100% perfect! Andrewski did a super job! His attention to detail is amazing. He even called me a couple of times while he was working on it to make sure he was doing exactly what I wanted. Well worth the $$ which wasn't that bad for what I got.

Cool! Yeah, he always gets top reviews. It's pretty much just him & Richard at BWE from my research.

What sear did your gun originally have before abdrewski ?

A semi lower modified and a semi sear ?

Did it not run well when you got it ? Or did you just want it to smg spec regardless of how it ran ?

I know most of the conversions use a group bolt and they can be warped. I assume some of these conversions would work fine as is from 1985

It was a semi sear semi barrel with restrictor ring I never fired it that way however. I had it sent to Andrewski while it was in ATFE jail to have it converted to full SMG Spec
