I'm almost complete with the Sparta stock. It's fitted to the AC556. However, I have some touch-ups to do and refinishing.

I think I'm going to shorten the adjustable stock a inch. Other than that, I really like the feel of this stock... better pistol grip, and has a longer top rail (in comparison to the ATI Stock).

That looks cool.I thought an AC556 would not work with this stock ,because it ejects cases up instead of to the right?

I'm not sure if my cases eject up or not. I change out the spring and gas bushing. It soften the recoil and I think it change the location where case eject... can't remember.

I had to cut out most of the area above the bolt path for the top cover to fit. I hope there is enough room to clear cases.

ETA: Just reveiwed one of my YouTube videos and it look like my cases are ejecting at 3.

Looks pretty awesome, how much modification is needed to make it work?

I had to cut insides for the select-fire trigger and upper parts. The top cover was opened up to clear the rear sight and select-fire selector.

This is the second stock I have done. Opening up the plastic for the select-fire parts seemed easy... maybe because I this part before. However, the upper rail was a little more difficult, but still on the easy scale. The upper is aluminum, which I thought was plastic at first.

I'm not a machinist and do not have the best of tools to do a excellent job. I used a dremel for all the cutting and it turned out okay.

I shot a few rounds today with this stock. I did not have any problems with the case ejecting. I observed the cases and noticed that they are hitting a little, but nothing to cause issues.

I didn't get a chance to shoot like I wanted... my rifle was short stroking. I think I did not assemble the gas block well. It work 100% suppressed.

nice.

wow. amazon states 6.2 lbs shipping weight. is it really that heavy? you're easily looking at an 8lb rifle before adding anything.

still wish someone would make a stock similar but without the upper rail and cheek riser. f-ing ct and it's awb; i miss my folding stock.

Ok, I just ordered one as well, and some mags. It's going to be 6 months, but that was a better deal than I saw anywhere else, and shipping was cheap.

I have a milling machine and converted a mini-14 stock to work with my AC556k. It fit perfect afterwards.

How much material was removed and from where? I have an AC-556 on its way and an extra Mini 14 folder on hand. Thanks Mike

Material was removed from the rear top cover on both sides. The stock material was removed for the top and bottom of the selector side only.

I do not have a measurement of how much material was removed.

Question Regarding Select-Fire Selector

I had to cut insides for the select-fire trigger and upper parts. The top cover was opened up to clear the rear sight and select-fire selector.

This is the second stock I have done. Opening up the plastic for the select-fire parts seemed easy...

I have a question about the select-fire switch.

I just reinserted the receiver & trigger assembly back into a new, modified Tapco Fusion stock.

I'm wondering whether I bent the interior part of the switch--the part that engages with the trigger mechanism.

Is the inside part of the switch supposed to be slightly off from a 90 degree (perpendicular) angle in relation to the pin (rivet) connecting it to the outside part of the switch, or is it supposed to be at a 90 degree angle?

I haven't been out to fire it yet, and I can't determine if the switch is engaging with the trigger mechanism or not.

Does anyone have pictures of the select fire switch, or know where I can find some?

What you describe is exactly how the mechanism is supposed to look.
