I designed a stand to make it a little easier to load the Suomi Drums

Probably not the most efficient design for 3d printing but its solid. Locks into the back of the drum so you can tension the spring while its on the stand, load it, then push the button to release the tension.

Makes it so much easier not dealing with bullets tipping over in the drums. My fat fingers cant get in there so I have to carry something like a punch to flip them back over.

If you want to print one yourself I uploaded to thingiverse.

I don't have a printer. What would the cost be to have one printed?

To complement the drum stand, have you considered 3D printing a Suomi drum winder that replicates the winder Vector used to sell? Photo here is of such a winder with an added knurled grip aid, though notches may also be salubrious.

Well ain't you just a baller, loading up a drum with JHP! :D
Nice work on the stand!

oh those JHP were for demonstration purposes only

I did the math and I think plastic would be about approx $4.40 and electricity would be about .25 cents so $4.65. I would just need to figure out the cheapest way to ship it to you.

I could probably make something like that in the next few days.

Very smart product and Congrats on your Ingenuity!

Would be great if Lage/Richard made and sell his drum carrier/mountable holster... had steel made ones in the past. Would buy steel or polymer made ones for sure if offered.

Can I send you a 20?

Im trying to figure out how to ship these. I tried to run down to my local post office but they were closed 30 mins early :)...

For one of the medium flat rate boxes non commercial their website says they charge 17.05. I dont think they charge tax for that. Just sounds high for something that weighs next to nothing.

That would make the total 21.70. If anyone has any suggestions for a cheaper shipping method ill give it a spin.

Strobro32 if you want go ahead and PM your address Ill fire the printer up but I dont think I can get anything mailed until monday/tuesday.

Postage has gone nuts lately.
I had to return a rail adapter to the manufacturer and I used a small padded envelope and it was about an ounce.
UPS hit me for $13.28 (ground shipping, non-expedited)

Thank you very much but let me hold off for the weekend. I may have found someone local who can print one for me.

Mine is printing now, looks like a good design.

Now if someone would build some sort of a speed loader for these things…

Try shipping it first class through the PO (not UPS) in a plain box (not flat rate). If it weighs next to nothing it'll ship fairly cheaply. The secret is under 16oz for first class.

13 ounces is the limit for USPS First Class.

Just so you don't get disappointed if you show up with a 14 ounce boxed item and they check it on their scale....
