I don't think I've ever seen an AK booster without holes for being a brake.

Funny that they says it's for AK47 rifles. The M24 thread is AK74 and it would be quite exciting to pop a 7.62 projectile through that thing.
So…. Is the Atlantic firearms one considered a booster or a brake since it has no holes?

If you can find one of those for the zastava m85 or m92.
85.00 for a muzzle device isn't all that bad compared to what some harge for their stuff.

Appears to be instock and less then 30 bux but you will need a thread adapter.
About the same price as the 30.00 booster.
Still not 85 bux though.

ETA: CNC warrior has the booster for 24 bux.

Thanks for the link. They told me to stick with a 223/556 booster. Will 7.62 be too large for 22lr?

An approach that I have used for .22LR M16 F/A shooting that might not be appropriate for what you might want to do is I have a "regular" power recoil spring in the 9 in. bbl. .22LR upper assembly, and "weak" recoil spring in the 4.5 in. bbl. .22LR upper assembly. No brakes or boosters on either upper.
Good luck with whatever you pursue.
MHO, YMMV, etc.

The m85 is 55.6/223
And the same booster is advertised for both the 7.62 and 5.56 guns so I'd imagine they are the same internally.

Also I think I mentioned this in the Mac forums when boosters cane up.
A Fleming 22 booster also if you can find one.
The Fleming 22 uppers will not run without a can or a fleming 22 booster.
I have a pair of those but I need them for my M10 22 upper.
Like most gun stuff they were everywhere for like 50-100 bux until they weren't.

All the Fleming booster is is a tube that is knurled on the outside and threaded 1/2x28 on one end and parkerized.
They are about 5-6 inches long.
It's not anything special but it works.

If you have access to a lathe it wouuld be worth turning one out to try.
Take about 45 minutes with setup to make one from bar stock.

There were a several versions of Fleming uppers. I've not had any problem with the bare barrel using CCI MiniMag, 40 gr. ammo in the Fleming upper I have on a M11-380 size machine gun. That said, the upper I have is the "long" M11 body version that has a rearward facing lug so that the upper can be fastened on the .380 size frame, or cut down for use on the M11/9 size frame. The longer upper frame might be providing a longer, softer stroke than what a short frame would have. And, of course, weaker (e.g., SV) ammo could be problematic.

MHO, YMMV, etc.

Ya I only shoot the cci subs or quite through all my guns.
My fleming won't work without the extra back pressure due to the lower velocity less powder loading of them.

I think I may have a couple .22 thruster muzzle devices kicking around. Shoot me a PM if interested.
