10mm Conversion

Is it possible to convert a full size FA Uzi to 10mm? If so, who is doing it? Is .40 S&W possible, if the 10mm isn't.

I don't know if 10mm is possible for sure due to the pressures. 40 is and has been done. TopCat and barrelxchange do some of those. Look for those names in the members list and send both an e-mail. Also consider Chris and his Grease Gun mag conversion for greater ammo capacity with the 40S&W round. There are a few threads I'll go look for now. Karl.

Thanks for the links. I have already ordered the grease gun mag conversion from Chris. Just considering all the possibilities from my recent purchase of a FA Uzi. However, I have at least 7 to 8 months wait. It is going to be hard. :cry

Yeah the current wait times on out of state transfers is SLOOOOWWW. Start buying mags too. That's the most important accessory for a FA UZI. Check out the mag threads in the reference forum before buying any though. Get a few spare parts too while you're at it. Keep your new baby running over the years. My personal recommendations would be to get Vector to install the rear barrel lug/feed ramp for $50.00 and get a bolt safety from Chris too. Karl.

Tell me about it. I'm working on 5 months now and I just sent in my form 4! But it's not my dealer's fault Vektorr took 4 months to deliver.

My Vector was already at my dealer. I have 90-120 days for CLEO sign-off, then off to ATF/FBI. I can only hope that everything goes without a hitch. eep

The 10mm is possible for an Uzi, if you have 41ae/45acp mags.

The round just fits, but you have to adjust the feed lips or the round will angle up too much and jam when chambering. I have 40 S&W and 10mm barrels available right now. I am shipping the 40's first and want to check the recoil spring tension a little more before I release 10mm barrels (might have to make it a little heavier). I should talk to Chris, 40 and 10mm should fit into the greasegun mag.:heavy :heavy :heavy
