    Uzi barrel chamber question

A sufficiently rough chamber can definitely impede extraction, which I’d expect to change ROF if sufficiently rough enough. Some designs intentionally utilized annular or helical grooves in the chamber walls for the cases to grip and resist extraction (See 409 regarding annular grooves)...

    Uzi barrel chamber question

Chinn’s book series on MG design might have something. I’ve always wanted to read through it, just never have found the time. https://www.ibiblio.org/hyperwar/USN/ref/MG/index.html

    M10 Samsonite Cases...

Milwaukee, Makita, Dewalt, etc. make carrying cases that might work, depending on setting. They’d checkout regarding handling characteristics (i.e. you’d expect them to hold something heavy).

    Cracked Ejection Port!

Any idea how many rounds it lasted before it gave out? I wonder if they’d handle it under warranty.

    Uzi barrel chamber question

It’s not exactly analogous, but amphibian experimented with a fluted chamber (HK barrel) in his CMMG to see if it helped the extraction issues, and the combination actually had lower ROF than the unfluted barrel. Of course that platform is delayed and involves a rotational component, but I’d...

    M10 Samsonite Cases...

They looked pretty cool. I’ve thought about buying an old briefcase off EBay and doing similar, though I’m sure my execution would be much worse.

    Cracked Ejection Port!

How did using steel-cased ammo cause the cracks? Is that a known issue? I’m struggling to envision why that would happen.

    Uzi barrel chamber question

Is it consistently faster or more like quick little stutters of faster fire? I experienced the latter with some reloaded rounds where the caseheads were oversized and not plunk testing smoothly.

Is that the only stamp on it?

Will M16 values Plummet in the light of Forced Reset Triggers Being Legal

FRTs and SSs are not NFA items as a matter of fact. No need to assume it (for the sake of argument or otherwise). It’s pretty easy to differentiate: the non-NFA items are designed so that the trigger resets between each shot (i.e. one shot per trigger pull) while the LL allows the weapon to...

Most of those are no surprise, but Florida, I would not have guessed.

    Value? MAX-11A1/15

The Lage 5.56 uppers are all on back order, so maybe try $3k? It’s lightly used which hurts value, but it’s available now, which helps value.

Will M16 values Plummet in the light of Forced Reset Triggers Being Legal

I’m not familiar with that. Is it more like a FRT or SS in implementation?

Has Anyone Tried This Uzi Stock

I have what is more or less the same design by Practical Solutions for my MAC M11, and it is very nice. Super solid lockup.

Velocity VMAC-45 jamming with hollow points

Have you tried some 230gr fmj since you got it back to see how it works?

Velocity VMAC-45 jamming with hollow points

See how much vertical play you have with the mag inserted. You should only have about 1/32” of play.

Velocity VMAC-45 jamming with hollow points

The Lage dual-catch required file fitting for me, which keeps the mags nice and high. There is a lot of variation in the mags, catches, and grips of MAC-style guns.

    How to organize/store Lage uppers?

I’ve got about 6 Lage uppers (not to mention some other Practical Solutions uppers or the Versas I’m on the list for), and I can’t figure out a good way to store the ones that aren’t on the guns at the time. I don’t have room in the safe to stand them up. Has anyone found a nice solution...

Got my Versa email today with an odd ordering system

Thanks for letting us know Skoda, and thanks for clearing it up Richard. I am very paranoid about scam emails, calls, texts, etc. and probably would have been hesitant too.

    What is this?

I’m genuinely happy you have the knowledge base that you do. Since the transferable MG world is frozen in time, it’s losing that knowledge about old designs slowly by the day. I hope to pass my guns down to my kids someday, but by then a lot of what is known will probably just be discussing same...
