Sending in a letter today on the Uzi I have, it was imported in 1976 by LES so hopefully it meets the criteria.

Have a BWE barrel on my full auto IMI Uzi, no problems firing various brands of factory ammunition and reloads with it. Works as well as the original barrel that came with the gun.

Since making an insert to hold 25 round Uzi magazines vertically in a .50 ammunition can I much prefer that size for range trips.

Watching the IDF during the Six Day War in the 60s got me interested and when I was old enough the Uzi was at the top of my list. Movies such as Dogs of War and Wild Geese only fanned the flames. Currently own a pre May DS made by IMI.

Try using plated bullets such as Berry's. There is no openning in the base to expose the lead which eliminates much of the problem.

They threatened me for selling firearms a few years ago, the item in question was a book on Colt 1851 revolvers. They objected to the cover of the book.

Book arrived Thursday, greatly impressed with it, the photo work is superb.

On those rare occasions I need to have a machine gun worked on I deal with people I know who only specialize in working on machine guns. Bubba the "gunsmith" I never allow to get close to any firearm I own.

Anytime I hear the word "gunsmith" it makes me cringe. In my part of the world all an individual needs to call himself a gunsmith is a hammer, a vise and a business card.

I have a LES IMI Uzi, odd thing about it and other LES imported pre 86 dealer samples I have observed is that while factory full auto they will only accept semi auto barrels.

Ordered a copy this weekend after seeing Dave Albert's Facebook post about it. An Uzi book is long overdue, looking forward to reading this one.

Inspect your brass if you reload and avoid cheap ammunition with a step in the case and you will not have these problems to begin with. I have been shooting 9mm subguns since the 80s and have yet to have a separated case.
