Anyone have any experience with the DSA extreme duty mounts? I can't figure the reasoning behind the plates and screws other than to occasionally sell more parts to the consumer. Any advice is appreciated!

Far out! I got an RMA to return/ swap the bad gas block with Blackthorne. We'll see what I get next and go from there.

Thanks, Che I was able to score a rear hanger w/out carry handle to get me in the ball park. Installed a gorgeous Silver Crescent handguard and did notice the awkwardness. My Galil and FAL are such attractive firearms that I can't bear the thought of making them any more ergonomically tacticool.

Thanks for the info! After looking more closely at this piece I did notice it was oval shaped on one end. lcastillo says that you can convert an AR gas block to an ARM. How much would that run, and how badly are you backlogged?

Was there anything that specified what caliber it was for? Are they universal, and my gunsmith is confused?

I am doing the same with my Golani and ran into a snag with the gas block. Gunsmith says that the new ARM block I got from Blackthorne is .308 specific. I read elsewhere that they were compatible. Have you had this problem?

I received a new ARM gas block from Blackthorne and took it to my gunsmith to have my Golani AR gas block swapped out. Gunsmith tells me that it is for a .308, but I believe I read elsewhere that it was compatible. What's the real deal? Thanks, David!

That was my thinking. I tried breech loading the day I shot and it worked fine with both powder counts. Will check the gas block tonight. Thanks again!!

Finally test fired the new Golani Galil I bought last week. Mag problems both loading and feeding. FTE several times with both 55 gr and 75 gr brass ammo. Some double feeds. Is it possible that the gas pressure is somehow the fault?

Man, I just stumbled upon this thread. I have been trying to contact Blackthorne and any other manufacturer about an AR length railed gas tube. Are you still making these, and how do I get one? Thanks, David

Galil gas tube length Here's another question for you: are the SAR and AR gas tubes the same length? I understand the SAR has a shorter barrel, but that doesn't necessarily affect the gas tube length, does it?
