    Value? MAX-11A1/15

For comparison, here's a GB "Buy Now" listing - Lage MAX-11A1/15 5.56mm Upper Receiver Here's someone looking for an upper - WTB: Lage Max 11A1/15 5.56 Upper Good Luck

    Ammo recommendation M11 380

Since you've got a large magwell gun, I'd also consider a MAX11a1 9mm upper...which uses the lower's magwell. 9mm is more plentiful, cheaper and probably more reliable in the large mag. Not sure if Lage still makes the upper, but GB might be the place to look.

    M11-9 Sten mag conversion

You've got a couple possible options, IMO. US Machinegun offers an extended catch for the MPA pistol (9mm STEN mag) though it looks like it's currently out of stock EZ Mag Release for All MasterPiece Arms 9mm Or you can use the stock mag catch and cut the mag catch channel for its higher...

Hoffman safety in a 9mm Colt AR?

Forgo filing, grinding or milling on your 9mm bolt weight and just replace it with one of these - 9mm CARRIER WEIGHT EXTRA HEAVY It's completely flush with the rear of the carrier channel, adds weight and completely clears the SS lever. Works perfectly in my 9mm setup. Good luck

    Colt Hydraulic SMG/DOE 9mm buffers

I had forgotten I had one of these till I saw your post. With the exception of the Colt LMG full length hydraulic buffers, neither the Colt 9mm DOE hydraulic buffer or the commercial hydraulic buffers I've used have what a would call a lot of "resting hydraulic resistance." The Colt LMG buffer...

    Information on Hk conversions needed

This (going on 40yrs) ATF ruling (as I recall) for this specific situation after the making ban didn't allow for a "divorce" procedure from those (front push pin) hosts. "Married" permanently. So instead of sear marriage with the possibility of "divorce" (as with your HK registered sear & a...

    Information on Hk conversions needed

I believe Nome Nomad is referring to the Vollmer registered sear "double push-pin with swing down lower" MP5s which were grandfathered just after the making ban. There's not a lot of them out there, but the do exist. Legally. Those registered sears are permanently married to their host MP5...

Is New Technology Like Forced Reset Triggers Or Super Safety Going To Reduce The Viability Of Multiple Thousand Dollar Accessories

There is no uncertainty on Bump Stocks. The Supreme Court has ruled on that matter...ATF reversed and said they're machine guns, the SC says they're not. The only thing restricting Bump Stocks is the handful of states which have banned them. Going forward, there could be more states that ban...

Is New Technology Like Forced Reset Triggers Or Super Safety Going To Reduce The Viability Of Multiple Thousand Dollar Accessories

Couple things. The Federal District Court ruling struct down the BATF's ruling (7-23-2024) on FRTs and ordered the return of those FRTs confiscated, back to their owners. So they're protected by a court ruling...at least for now. There's at least 3 companies that I'm aware of (not including...

Is New Technology Like Forced Reset Triggers Or Super Safety Going To Reduce The Viability Of Multiple Thousand Dollar Accessories

I kinda doubt Spikes (thanks for the correction, btw) dug through 100 years of patents to find that fix. No, I think someone more than likely looked at the success of the Norrell 10/22 closed bolt system and applied it to the M16 .22 kit. Don't you? Not my experience when I first tried a...

Is New Technology Like Forced Reset Triggers Or Super Safety Going To Reduce The Viability Of Multiple Thousand Dollar Accessories

Sure. The ball detent idea came from the Norrell 10/22 design / configuration which uses both (detent & anti-bounce weight). The ball detent modification gained some traction a few years ago for the AR15/M16 .22 kits and IIRC, one of the .22 kit manufacturers offered it as an option with their...

Is New Technology Like Forced Reset Triggers Or Super Safety Going To Reduce The Viability Of Multiple Thousand Dollar Accessories

No more complicated than using a .22 kit with a RR or RDIAS. You have a separate trip surface piece (of a different design and unique to the SS) just like a RR / RDIAS has and at that point it's about tuning the anti-bounce weight for function / reliability...just like with a RR / RDIAS...

Is New Technology Like Forced Reset Triggers Or Super Safety Going To Reduce The Viability Of Multiple Thousand Dollar Accessories

IMO, the Hoffman Tactical Super Safety is the most creative & innovative mechanical addition to AR15 fire control since the RDIAS and Lightning Link. Period. So simple and yet almost indistinguishable from "true" full auto in its firing action and controllability. They're way cheaper than the...

    Thoughts??

No spares or replacements. As mattnh already posted, those receivers and bolts are permanently married and the blocking bar can't be removed. If you break the receiver or bolt, those can only be repaired, not replaced. Lack of (caliber) versatility and permanent marriage of bolt / receiver is...

ATF is adding 4,000 new transferable Machineguns to the registry.

Yep...more garbage. At least you didn't treat us to another dissertation on your career with rust and educating us with your certitudes on dealing with the "government."

ATF is adding 4,000 new transferable Machineguns to the registry.

You're correct, under 180,000 transferable machine guns in the registry. The poster obviously didn't pay attention and assumed the posted # of machine guns in the registry were transferable machine guns. Not true. Estimated, in 2006, the registry count of machine guns was 391,532 Estimated, in...
