Too stiff recoil spring in my Golani ??

Thanks for the nice words steamroller. I have already received way more respect from people here than what I can ever expect to see from my previous country's citizens. I am a PROUD citizen of this fine country now, I paid my own way here and kicked my previous citizenship in the butt. God...

Too stiff recoil spring in my Golani ??

Thanks to all for very good info and tips. lcastillo: there is no play on any of the mags, I dont touch the mag or rest the mag on anything while firing. The ejector has a nice sharp edge. I did notice on a real Galil that the ejector is thicker than the one on mine and I think that is part of...

    AK Bolt carriers

I managed to fit the AK carrier to my Golani. The biggest job is to ream the pin hole in the carrier to the same size as the Galil carrier. The metal is hardened and without a drill press it's hard work. Once you got the hole reamed all you have to do is screw in the Galil piston, line up the...

    AK Bolt carriers

I am also changing my Golani bolt carrier using a 762 AK carrier, will let you know how it all fits up. There should be no problem between 762 and 223. I managed to remove the pin from the AK carrier quite easily, and will fit the Galil gas piston this week then give it a test
