I think the 18" barrels, for the mini, were for a law in Michigan/Massachusetts having to do with the overall length with a folded stock. The mini I have is a rifle purchased directly from Vector. A friend had a factory IMI mini and it came with a 16" barrel. Arch stanton beat me to it.

Pics of the rear of the barrel will tell for sure. IMI marked the barrels, shipped with the gun, with the last three numbers of the serial number. If it's 18 inches long it may be for a mini.

I'm not sure if this was covered but a replacement keypad may be all that is needed. I had a friend with the same issue and the keypad was not sending the juice to the solenoid. New keypad and the safe worked again. Good luck.

I have one of the cut down Group receiver Mini uzi produced by Vector. It was purchased through Atlantic Firearms in January 2008. Not sure how much longer they produced them. Sorry, comprehension fail. I didn't see that you wanted a start date.

That's weird. I've never seen the small one before. My full size and mini both have the larger one. The smaller one might be for the pistol/micro.

Make sure the barrel nut is all the way tight. How deep is the dimple in the primer compared to other rounds fired? Clean the chamber with a chamber brush. Is the striker hitting with authority? Just some things to check. Good Luck.
