Just called BRP. They do not produce 45 acp drums for any gun. Only Suomi 9mm for Stemple.

Ha a little of both. Yes I designed and built both 9mm and 45 acp drums. The 45acp drum is very hard to build correctly. I just retired and will be selling some in the future. Still having fun right now. The 45 acp ones will probably be the last to go.

No Mitch this is something you do not know of what you speak. Simply use the right rod and it will be as hard or harder than base material. No Master welder required. I only say this because $200.00 will buy a nice afternoon's worth of ammo.

My point being welding is Not a SHTF as you stated if the repair if done correctly. Similar to welding stellite to a work surface.

Tig weld with A2 1/16 rod. Grind to original profile and its better than new. Definitely not SHTF kinda fix! Also you will not be able to file this material!
