Yes or No to a 22lr conversion kit?

I respect your opinion as always strobro32, but in my experience I have found that the Uzi converion is possibly one of the best out there. That is if you follow the recommendations for tuning. My personal uzi has been subjected to teenage boys and has hardly missed a beat.

    Interesting malfunction, possibly solved

How strange. From your description I was certain it had to do with mag height or maybe top cover gap. Perchance have you looked at the ejector channel on the bad bolt? Was it hanging and slowing when traveling over the ejector? Did the bad bolt always have the problem or was it fine and...

Mac 11/9 custom work -sear work

Back in 2007-08 timeframe I had CS Metal Werkes do a full refurb alignment on my m11. I similarly had a bolt round off and had a couple runaways. Since that service I have had no problem with any upper or bolt from 380, 9 mm, or 556. That being said I don't think their Mac guy is still there...

    BEST suppressed pistol design?

Damn, I thought I was lazy when I bought a second receiver. Four? I must say I am envious.

    BEST suppressed pistol design?

I can only think off my head about two magazine fed single shots. Fiala pistols from the 20's were mag fed single shor 22s. https://www.gunbroker.com/item/1045731663 The LM4 Simmerling was a single shot mag fed 45. It wouldn't work probably because the slide goes forward to reload...

Others( .e. 22 RemJet) get loaded very sporadically and get put in a spare turret...

Subgun Ordnance .22LR conversion kit for sale on GB

I have four 28s and a 20. The 28s are lined with plastic inserts and if clean and lubed with dry silicone they work flawlessly. The 20 has aluminum inserts instead of plastic and it works poorly. The follower binds up on the the aluminum and it stops feeding. I don't know exactly how they...

First UZI, FA: Getting close, looking fresh opinions on the options to go with.

I wish you were here in Missouri. You could come over and after a couple beers and an hour in the shop we could get that thing running right. OP you chose right. Whether it's a Group or a Vector, you are assured that it was a full auto from the start. My Vector has never skipped a beat in...

The last bolts made were shipping in Summer of 2021 from Practical Solutions. I looked up my my invoice from June 24, 2021. "The CF-W9mmA bolts are here and we are assembling them now. This means it's time for you to pay and confirm your configuration. Sometimes I and/or customers get...

    Smg Uzi vector/group industries

I would recommend reading over the original written directions to tune these line by line. https://www.uzitalk.com/forums/index.php?threads/22lr-conversion-kit-tuning-procedures.72204/ You sound like you are very close. Using those instructions I've been getting mine as close to 100% as I...

    LAW tube and 66mm rocket

I built a potato cannon completely inside of a demilled spanish bazooka. It even uses the original trigger where I built a bracket to hold a couple piezo igniters. I always meant to build one in a LAW tube.

Front takedown pin hole slightly ovaling

When I bought my M11A1 in 2006, the hole was slightly oval. I ran several thousand rounds of 380 through it. When I got one of the first Lage 9mm uppers the hole was still sligthly oval. I then ran thousands more rounds of 9mm through it. When I got my Max 11A1/15 the hole was still slightly...

Want to buy: Oddball guns from the Assault Weapons Ban List

Apparently I read too quickly. I applaud your efforts and will let you know if I see any. If you don't have one, I would recommend picking up an AR-180. They have an interesting history and but for a few small faults are great rifles.

Want to buy: Oddball guns from the Assault Weapons Ban List

Just so you know, none of those guns were from the assault weapons ban (1994-2004). They all predate the ban. There were some real oddballs in the 80s. May as well throw the ARM pistol, Gwinn/Bushmaster Assault Rifle, and the Bushmaster M17 on your list. For an example of a true AWB gun look...

Why did Mecgar stop making Uzi mags?

What a great memory. I as well bought the fifty pack. As I recall with shipping it came out around $5 a mag. My box ended up having 52. 50 were about perfect with a little freckle rust. The remaining two looked as if they had been left in a puddle of blood. They were not only rusty, they...
