Opinions please. I have a Colt M-16 A2 transferable factory gun

For the M16 A2s, the AUTO marked lowers are more rare than the BURST marked lowers. I know this is a certainty for transferables, and I believe for the A2 in general as well. If you are lumping in Colt M16s/A1s/614s in with the A2s then yes, the AUTO marked Colt factory M16s are more common, but...

Opinions please. I have a Colt M-16 A2 transferable factory gun

You have a very desirable Colt A2, with those markings. (Non burst marked) I’d say around or north of $50,000 based on what I’ve seen recently. If I was in the market (I will be soon, depending on how my assets/investments perform in the next few years) I’d jump on one around that price. Worst...

"New Transferrables" - What all have you seen or head of?

So, can we expect the AFT to do the same with posties? 😂

    FNC Sear Swap Hosts?

Didn’t the semi auto FNCs converted to auto in the states require a sear trip welded onto the carrier and shaped to trip the sear? If so, I believe that is what he was referring to.

    From dealer sample to transferable

I understand where you are coming from. However, if you look at the law and their definitions, an AR lower doesn’t fit the defined term for what a receiver is. Some savvy suspects have gotten off because of this. The AFT still regulates them as receivers, in addition to many, many other parts...

    mag ID and pricing

The Chinese chrome follower mag should also have three witness holes in the spine (instead of the one most surplus AK mags have, to see rounds) They were made by Polytech. They also lack the safety sear relief cut, if memory serves since they were a commercial offering. I suppose it’s possible...

    Receiver wear??

I'd hit it with a little cold blue if it was mine. Followed up with a light coat of oil, then it would hardly be noticeable, if at all. :)

    From dealer sample to transferable

As the old saying goes, nothing more real than the real thing! I’d happily spend more money on an original over a conversation if I was in the market.

Very cool! Great news. Hopefully more good news to follow!

    Serial number prefix question

Ah, I assume the reason being the ATF probably has changed their mind on which between the two (upper and lower) is to be considered the "receiver".

    Serial number prefix question

Out of curiosity, what law would be broken by assembling an unserialized lower with an unserialized upper, assuming both were acquired legally?

I'm sure they are, I just have way too many other projects ahead of what would be a curiosity to me, at best.

    FAST efile transfer times

I know I'm preaching to the choir here, but with all of the NFA process BS, and especially after dropping serious money on something like a transferable MG, you would think at the very least they would have reasonable wait times...

RIA auction 16Feb NFA prices realized

I almost won a transferable Colt M16 on GB a few weeks ago. It sold for around $32,000 if I remember correctly. My top bid was just under that. In a way, it worked out that I didn't win it, because I was going to cash out some crypto for it, and now that same crypto is worth twice as much as...

    Full Auto Uzi in Connecticut.

Out of curiosity, I wonder if anyone has actually been charged with having a select fire weapon in CT that was otherwise lawful. My guess is it’s like 922r, it’s the law on the books but rarely, if ever enforced.
