    UZI Pistol transformed!

What adapter is between the receiver and Sig brace? How does it attach?

    New to UZI, need help

It looks like McKay has uzi FS receivers back in stock. You could maybe ask for one papered as a "pistol" or "other" and then use your parts kit to build it up. Buy a brace adapter for the back and run a pistol brace on it. Have the parts kit barrel breech turned down by a machine shop to fit...

Mini Uzi 22 to Micro conversion?

I'm going to guess that it is an early run subgun-ordnance bolt. I can't recall if barrelxchange was involved in the making of those or not. The mini bolt fits the micro uzi by removing that plate in the top. It needs a dedicated barrel that subgun or barrelxchange might still make. I think the...

    SilencerCo Hybrid

hybrid can I'm waiting for my tax stamp to come in but I did get to fondle and drool on my Hybrid can this week. It is not user serviceable in that you can't remove the baffles for cleaning. You can however take off the mounting and exit caps to swap them for different mounting options and...

did the micro come with a bayonet?

They have a bayonet lug but the barrel is too short to mount the IMI bayonet. I've seen it used to mount accessory rails for lasers and front grips.

Bad Experience with RTG Parts / robertrtg.com

Cole, you've been here since '05 and your first post is complaining about service, from a decent parts provider. Whiskey, tango, foxtrot? Anyway, my experience for rtg parts has always been positive over the past 10 years. Only a few times have I had to wait for back-ordered items, and...

    Subgun ordinance 22 conversion question

there is either too much pressure on the sear pads (caused by the bolt/recoil spring) and it is causing the trigger and disconnector to "disconnect" from the sear, or your disconnector and trigger are wore down. Either way, that click you hear is the trigger disconnecting from the sear pad arms...

    Registered F/A closed bolt durability?

it has a reinforced lower lip like an open bolt, and it does not have the blocking bar cut. It may or may not be relieved for a semi-auto trunnion, depending on the style of original bolt (FA or semi) and amount of machine work done to it. IIRC registered closed bolts are hard to find.

    question about 41AE magazines ?

not really a mistake...it's just the same mag was used for both calibers, and remarked...but maybe not completely remarked. I'll have to dig mine out and see what they say.

    My latest creation

nice work again there, JWH. I was wondering what that set-up would be like with the Magpul mid-length forearm. But I do think the fake can looks better without the step-downs.

    Mini UZI Prices...

you may be able to find a vector mini for around $1100 to $1300. The older vector IMI receiver guns generally run very well, better than some of the vector fullsize uzis. The newer vector Group Industries receivers started as fullsize receivers and were cut down to mini size. They have some...

Is it normal for the bolt to rub on barrel ring?

um...hitting the barrel? Not sure why the barrel would sit that high. I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around that one. Does it shoot reliably? Does it shoot low? Semi-auto gun, right?

Is it normal for the bolt to rub on barrel ring?

as long as the gun runs I wouldn't worry about it unless you are getting light primer strikes. It'll wear down, the bolt should be harder than that ring. But if you want to check out what is going on...you can take the firing spring/striker assembly and the recoil spring out, and take the lower...

who has the cheapest pmags w/window ?

Does anyone know of a source of semi-auto 45 A.C.P mini uzi bolts

or you can use a longer cocking lug screw and a 1/8" thick nut to catch the notch in the pistol bolt. the fun part is finding the bolt!

    uzi semi-auto .22 conversion kits

wonderdog...I think Barrelxchange would have a good answer for that...I'm gonna guess "yes" but I've never used a dedicated .22 barrel from him for the IMI kit. NavyEngineer...I'm not sure what is going on with your kit...I've consistently hit an 8" steel plate at 100yds with open sights with...

    uzi semi-auto .22 conversion kits

Yeah, that's what worked for me too, the "overbarrel" I mentioned. I had it done about a 1/16th short and used shims between the .22 barrel and overbarrel to get the tension right so the conversion kit would rise up if I got the barrel nut too tight. If I ever get around to having barrelxchange...

    uzi semi-auto .22 conversion kits

it will work, but it's a mild pain in the arse. You need either a dedicated barrel (from Barrelxchange) or you can use the original barrel liner in a longer un-rifled overbarrel (still needs to be custom machined). And the firing pin/striker assembly generally catches on the factor ejector rivet...
