Christmas came early this year (vintage parts)

Well I did touch on the fact that MAC was barking up the wrong tree trying to get a gov contract as a viable replacement for the 1911.. MAC was totally misguided and delusional in their goals with this platform. It was never useful for large scale standard use with the US Army, it’s a special...

Christmas came early this year (vintage parts)

I never implied that any machine gun was designed for competitive use.. but to fault the Ingram platform because it ISNT viable as a competitive firearm is ignoring the fact that it wasn’t at all designed for that purpose, so why would should it be judged on that quality? It was never its...

Christmas came early this year (vintage parts)

For competition, slower rate of fire will always prevail.. but the Ingram platform wasn’t designed with competitive sport shooting in mind. It was developed as an assassination tool and a (very) close range combat weapon, and it does that quite well. 32rds of 380 or 9mm in 1.2 seconds from...

    New Samson stock

Wow this is a blast from the past.. I have probably bought and sold over a dozen factory folders since I posted this originally about a year ago.. (I am picky about rifle stocks  ) I kept a few, here is one I refinished in a tiger stripe pattern on a blue steel 183 series mini.

    More found MAC magazines

Magazine “repair parts kits” have been sold since the AWB to circumvent federal and state capacity restrictions. Often times it’s just the complete magazine with all internals being sold in a disassembled “kit” form. Some retailers, like USMG, offer the complete magazines with a plastic...

    Forgotten Weapons does RPB!

Yep that’s the case. I knew it was something along those lines. The case beneath it “22 caliber machine gun with silencer” was a SEMI AUTO Ruger 10/22 used in the royal oaks post office shooting Makes me wonder how many of these “machine guns” were actually machine guns...

    Forgotten Weapons does RPB!

Yeah the off duty cop who decided to raid (rob) a drug house in his spare time, with his NFA registered M11 .380, The only time I know of where a registered NFA machine gun was used in a crime. There’s some interesting stories about registered machine guns being used for personal defense over...

    Forgotten Weapons does RPB!

This is the impression I’ve gotten as well… unless you lived in a very small rural area where everyone knew everyone, it was tough to get the local chief of police to put his ass on the line and sign off that “I think Joe blow is a good guy and he should have a machine gun” They preferred not...

    Forgotten Weapons does RPB!

SWD didn’t sell the open bolt semi autos. SWD as a company was more or less the result of the open bolt ban. RPB (the 2nd one) was in business from 78-82. RPB was the entity responsible for the open bolt semi auto Ingrams. RPB had 3 principal shareholders. Wayne Daniel, Robert Morgan and...

    Forgotten Weapons does RPB!

Everything Slim Shady said.. There weren’t many civilian legal title 1 machine gun clones on the market in those days, and the knowledge about civilian ownership of NFA items also wasn’t as widespread… there was no internet and the average person didn’t know what it took to legally own a...

Running m11 380 bolt in m11/9 for higher rof

This was designed to achieve the opposite of what the OP is asking about.. these kits were intended to slow the rate of fire. This was an original cast M11 .380 bolt with a 2” steel block welded to the butt end of it. I think these kits were really just a way for them to sell off a whole ton...

    More found MAC magazines

I personally haven’t had much luck with those, in my experience they wobble like crazy. I spoke to John of CS metalwerks fairly recently about these mags and apparently they had started shimming them to combat the wobble, I guess I’ve only had the earlier examples that still had that issue.

    More found MAC magazines

Thanks, I have gained a lot of experience with the various different types of magazines from buying and selling over the last few years. It also doesn’t hurt to collect vintage shotgun news issues and machine gun news etc, lots of great info in those old publications. Since I have started...

    More found MAC magazines

Yeah those are m9 mags that have been modified with that plate welded to the spine for use in an M11/9. Those mags are generally very inexpensive and not really too desirable, likely because they look kinda ghetto, but they do work ok from what I’ve gathered.

    More found MAC magazines

These are Madsen mags that were converted for the M11/9 or single feed M10/9 by CS metalwerkes. Here’s a write up on those CMP M11/9 mags from machine guns news, 1993 They were the old CMP M10/9 mags, the ones that were sold by RPB as the “factory Ingram magazines”. They took the old m10/9...

Christmas came early this year (vintage parts)

Very interesting, the design of these suppressors or “mufflers” can of course be applied to any application in which a small explosion is involved, including combustion engines.. yet I don’t think the SIONICS suppressor was ever actually utilized for this purpose. If there was a large purchase...

Christmas came early this year (vintage parts)

I’m sure they would be.. they were patented for this purpose… and taking that investment would have made a lot more sense if they had ever actually been tooled up to manufacture them for anything other than firearms. As far as I know, not a single SIONICS suppressor was ever manufactured in any...
