Availability of Galil AR magazine adapter?

Correct as usual! In my experience, those were the only ones that worked and worked well and I tried them all. Unless something new has come on the market in the last couple of years.

    Galil ACE 7.62X51

OK, got the bolt on bayonet lug from Cogburn Arsenal and I think it's well worth it. Four bolts with lock nuts, well made, installs easily and works great. So simple I have to wonder why it wasn't done before.

    Galil ACE 7.62X51

Holy Crap! That Midwest Industries M-Lok hand guard is a YUGE improvement over the factory picatinny hand guard.

    Galil ACE 7.62X51

10" as well. I'm not sure the bayonet lug will fit with the new hand guard, but I have 4 weeks to worry about it Cogburn makes them to order I believe. Interestingly the 20 round Magpul mag that came with the rifle will hold the bolt open after the last round. The 25 rounders I bought won't.

    Galil ACE 7.62X51

For those of you who love the Galil but also want to be able to have a modern weapon with standard magazines, factory rails and easily available spare parts. The .308 version has to be my favorite of all the ACE calibers. It's MOA accurate with good ammo (175gr BTHP) and optics but also...

.308 chest rig for 25 rnd mags.

Yep, the 25 rounders fit no problem in the Dolphin. I ordered another one from Olongapo, just a simple rig.

.308 chest rig for 25 rnd mags.

Thanks guys! Hmmm... I have a Dolphin vest, I’ll have to try the mags in it.

.308 chest rig for 25 rnd mags.

Just picked up a Galil Ace in .308 but can’t find a chest rig to hold the Magpul 25 round mags. Any leads? Thanks!

Has anybody compared the Galil ARM .308 to the Ace .308?

The new ACE is pretty amazing, I have one now in 5.56. I would love to get my hands on an ACE in .308, everything I've heard about them is great and the magazines are new production, reliable and cheaper. Having said that, I don't think you can go wrong either way, the rails are nice to have...

Steel case ammo through a Galil?

I occasionally ran steel case thru my Galils, and ran about 100 rounds thru my Ace with no problems at all.

    It's here.....Galil model 332 (with pictures)

Awesome. I remember "back in the day" when they were still plentiful. Jetskrtal tells me of an ad from Vollmers in Shotgun News that full auto Galils were only a few hundred dollars more than the semi-autos in the pre-86 1980s.

FA AK-47: what to look for?

Yes, I was not as fortunate. Mine was re-done correctly and ended up being a fantastic rifle, but it was very frustrating. I think if I were looking again that history would still be a giant red flag.

    Galil Ace 5.56

Got a 4x32 ACOG on my ACE and took it out. 75 gr 5.56 ammo on a sandbag 100 yard 5 shot group. Should have used the sled, next time. Very happy with this rifle. Pinging the plates at 200 yards and I think at 300 but my eyes are too shitty and I couldn't really tell. The secure top cover and...

FA AK-47: what to look for?

Yes. It says "Polytech conversion" was it a 5.56 or 7.62x39. I had a 5.56 semi-auto Polytech that had been converted to 7.62x39 full auto and it was a mess. Only a gifted gunsmith was able to save it. I found out after I bought it that a lot of those 5.56 Polytechs that were converted like...

Man, I want to like this rifle so badly! I mean, it's a superb weapon I just can't get comfortable shooting the damn thing.
