    hodgdon universal clays technology

I'm easy just don't tease me. I understand the mild published data one finds today and the reasons behind such. However you post the 4.5 grain load and simply state "just starting to get pressure signs". Gimme (us) the whole story like where you wound up and what kind of velocity you achieved.

    hodgdon universal clays technology

I hope this is a typo (perhaps you meant 124's) because I've never seen published data that stout for 147's. I load 3.7 grains of Universal under 147 FMJ's for my M16 with an Enidine buffer. They average 911 FPS in a 7.5" barrel & 975 FPS in a 9" barrel.

Filler material type needed for light loaded rifle casings

I use a polyester pad material that's sold for aquarium filters when loading for a 50/70.

    Rank the MP5 (HK94/SP89) clones

Scott I believe you're correct on the bolt replacement from SW/CA. I've simply been too lazy to pack it up and mail it back!

    Rank the MP5 (HK94/SP89) clones

I bought a CA89, it's a full size MP5 pistol. Ran OK in semi even though the bolt is out of spec, the bolt face measures .430" which is about 30 thou too large. I installed a used German BCG from my MP5 parts kit and she rocks in FA! The Coharie carrier is a semi unit. Wore out the extractor...

    WTK: Building a HK51-K pistol?

Can't tell you anything about building them but a friend owns a 51K built on a PTR receiver by a popular smith. It destroyed the nylon guide ring on the recoil rod in less then 100 rds. This build uses the MP5 type of cocking support set up. The owner is a member here maybe he will comment. Now...

Price Check on MAC Mags and Coversions

I'm interested in this thread since I'm considering getting rid of my 9mm accessories and staying with a 45 set up. I have a C&S Metall Werkes FAL stock also and I imagine they would go anywhere from $150 to $200. Found a 2 year old ad here that had one listed from $125.00, it sold fast. I...

anyone reload straight lead 147 grn bullets?

I've reloaded a bunch that a friend gave me using Unique and a couple of VihtaVuori powders, 3N37 and N340. I cast 125 lead bullets in 9mm and I never saw the need for non-jacketed 147's but it makes perfect sense because my M16/9 is sighted in for a 147 FMJ load.

Anyone still messing with the Bazooka Bros drum adapters?

Well I took the drum out to the range today and looks are looking up. My original post mentioned getting two drums worth of mag dumps then the kit would not run. Well I think the problem was those long bursts were enough of a strain on the old recoil spring to cause it to meet it's end. I...

Anyone still messing with the Bazooka Bros drum adapters?

I got a new feed tower from them at the spring creek and just took it to the range last weekend. It ran flawlessly through two full 165 rd mag dumps and then went to crap. It started to jam the empties between the CH and the bolt face. Couldn't get more than a 10 rd burst before it jammed...

    SubSonic .22s

Aguila 38 grain HP or 40 grain solids are my favorites. They are accurate enough out of my Ruger 10/22 & Savage MKII bolt gun to hunt with. RWS & Wolf are a little better in terms of accuracy but much more expensive.

    .223/5.56 bullets

Surplus Ammo dot com has 10,000 new production LC 55 FMJ for $672.99 shipped on their site. The 4000 piece box is $279.99. I've never ordered from them but the price seems decent. Sorry I'm a tard - I just saw where you mentioned this earlier.

    .223/5.56 bullets

Yeah that's them, I could not remember Jeff's name. I didn't know he was the gibrass guy. They have great pricing and I run to their tables at the start of the show Friday morning. Richard's van is brown now that you mention it, duh. I was a little disappointed last month when I tried to...

    .223/5.56 bullets

I picked up 5000 pulled 22 cal 55 grain FMJ projectiles at Knob Creek for $200. I believe the outfit is called Hi-Performance, they work out of a couple of white vans set up behind the range house. I want to say Richard is the guy with the pulled stuff. I don't have any contact info but there...

    300 Whisper Questions

I guess what you outlined would work however since it's not my gun, brass or dies so I can't test the theory. At this point if I can find the right size collet I'm considering neck turning them on a lathe. I have a RCBS power case trimmer but the neck turning set up will not work with it.

    300 Whisper Questions

Thought I might be able to add to this. I have a couple of cases belonging to a friend that will not chamber in his SSK 300 Whisper TC Contender barrel. He purchased a quanity of mixed formed cases. Some were formed from 221 brass which chamber fine and others were formed from 5.56 brass which...
