My vote - go with the LM4, especially if you already own or have access to an R5-LM5 through work. Which barrel twist, sounds like a question of patience? Do they allow you to compete with custom loads, can you bring your own ammo? Might be more worthwhile to wait and save up either way. Even...

    Micro Galil in 308

I did see some posts about those Micro kits. I want 1 or 2, but don't have the cash right now. I did see where they had different types, some with the lefty charging handle. But the stock photo of the kits shows the more common/newer gas block. Must say I am kinda drooling' on those bolt...

    Micro Galil in 308

Hadar style micro gas blocks Base, thanks for posting. Where'd you'd get that, in a parts kit? I've been wondering about these too. Was told by one of the earlier posters that these were an early design. But I noticed your barrel is 1x7, and looks to be dated to the early 90's. They have a...

    Galil optics mount?

I have a full length AR/ARM railed gas tube for sale $130 shipped. I'm second owner, was sourced originally through Botach. Might require some fitting to your rifle. Finish isn't great. Can send pics, PM if interested.

I've got a carrier just like that, same markings. It came with a Blackthorne kit, piston is the triangular - 3 lobe type. Theres photo of it a few pages back. My guess is Indumil.

    .308 SAR

Might be a replacement ejector. There's one shown in the Galil library (see link). Scroll down about halfway through the page, post #54 http://www.uzitalk.com/forums/showthread.php?23706-OFFICIAL-GALIL-LIBRARY/page3

What does the crown look like on your barrel, I mean does it look original/factory? Pretty sure all the .308 Galils either had 18 or 20" barrels, right? So what you've got is definitely a rare piece. I have what I think is a factory IMI SAR length barrel blank, but it has a heavier profile...

    .308 SAR

Good eye on the lightening cuts from that photo. I agree, it does look like those gas blocks have the integral forward bayonet lugs like some of the 5.56 AR models. I had my eye on that Mossberg Galil, kicking myself for not moving faster on it. I noticed the shorter 16" barrel on that rifle...

    .308 SAR

They do exist, but I've never shot one. The barrel length on those is 15.75". 1st pic is from Buddy's gallery. 2nd pic was posted recently by LC in the Honduran Galil thread (page 53, post 1053). The 2nd one has the forward bayo-lug.

H5 slide H5 slide action details. The slide has a bar extending back over the bolt carrier. The cover tube snugs onto the barrel shoulder and butts up to the receiver, the spring floats inside. Spring is pretty sturdy, takes a little effort to rack it. Easy to disassemble, except you must...

H5 Bolt group Pretty sure thats a cut down R4 carrier. You can almost see the tool marks where the piston riser area was removed. Second pic shows an H5 firing pin (left) next to an R4 pin. Notice the tip is fatter. Probably to prevent a floating pin being installed in an R4.

That'd be perfect for someone in a ban state. Should be legal pretty much anywhere.

Very cool, the H5 is a strange rifle. Thanks for adding pics. I had 2 of those here in the US. One was set up like this with the synthetic folding stock. The other had the wood thumb-hole stock and slide. Yes, the bolt group is the same basic type, but theres some minor differences to the bolt...

Price check on Golani rifles in todays crazy market.

An AA Galil in .308 for $2600, thats not bad, actually sounds pretty realistic.
