With the regular railed gas tube, I have absolute cowitness with micro T-1. The tube with the rail welded on is only slightly higher. So not absolute co witness, but you can definitely see through your irons. I thought I had a picture of the two next to each other, let me see.

Since you mentioned Matt Yeamen, he can also weld his low profile rail to a standard gas tube you send him. I had him do this for me. It it only slightly taller than my railed gas tube.

The two lug ones are rarer. So you push the thumb selector forward to fire, and to the rear for safe? The two lug is how all the factory semi auto rifles that came into the US were.
