Thread fitting question for a Cobray can...

It should fit. The MPA-10 uses the old SIONICS thread style. If it doesn't, the fake can will need a tap run into it. Some times the Cobray marked fakes have undersize threads(made with worn taps, possibly). I've run into a few like that.

Whats up with West Georgia Armory?

I will contact Armoloy tomorrow & have a firm date from them. Today got away from me before I realized it. Thanks all, for your patience & support.

Whats up with West Georgia Armory?

Can do either. If you are unhappy, I will refund. I am making quality custom parts & selling them at a mass produced price(not smart, huh). Each sear is handmade (approx 4 hours labor each), that is what takes so long. I have other custom orders, barrels, bolts, etc to work on, besides sears...

    help with mag identity

sweep, they are the same as modified GG mags. They will sit low in your gun.

    help with mag identity

40rd Encom or Enfield America MP45 mags, or made for M10/45 by CMP. Basically the same mag fits all three. Is there a double headed eagle on the side? If so, Encom/EA. Or CMP stamp. Some were stamped Cobray for SWD.

    Converted mac question

At a glance: SWD receiver flat(ring around the Cobray), SWD upper receiver(sight ear holes), RPB Bolt, SWD receiver pin. Post 6-'82 & pre 5-'86. Homegrown. I'd bet that an smg safety would fit the lower receiver.

    Jammomatic/Firing Pin Help Needed

Hey cmltoe, you called me for the firing pins today. They will be there tomorrow, according to the U.S.P.O. I had to call RPB's number just to make sure he wasn't forwarding to me.

    Spyderco Knives

Pics added! My first "carry" blade was a Gerber Guardian Backup. Then, I carried a Spyderco Merlin for years as a working/defense knife, even after the molded clip broke(it hung up on something while I was climbing through it). I knew Spyderco's warranty would replace it, I just never took...

The one factory accessory everyone is overlooking!

There is one accessory never seen on an M11/9mm. It's geniune Cobray, too! No, it's not for sale. These fit the older 1/2-20 threaded carbine barrelled uppers. I had heard of them, but never seen one 'til last week. Anyone got an older SWD catalog that depicts these, so we...

Help me troubleshoot: M11/9 burst firing only

Remove the sear trip & test fire. If it now runs fine, you need a trigger spring. If it still intermittantly bursts, you need a disconnector(or sear, check both operating surfaces with a loupe or magnifying glass). Nice troubleshooting page, Linx!

    Converting M10/9 to 45ACP?

Your gun was assembled by SWD, though registered by MAC of Texas. It has an SWD(also refered to as Cobray) bolt in it, rather than an original Stephenville built bolt which resembles an RPB P/S bolt(except that the recoil spring is removed from the side of the bolt).

    Interesting bolt/upper issue

Yes, Murray Urbach. Thanks! The original 1983 upper is larger inside(slightly thinner gauge metal I suppose), to accomodate the larger, original bolt. All M11 uppers are currently smaller inside diameter than originally designed. Sears & some more TASK bolts are gone to Armoloy. I need to...

    Semi-auto question

That was the PM11/9mm Leinad guns built in Tennessee built during the AW ban that had the ball detent mag catch. Yes, they can be refitted back to a "normal" mag release.

    Interesting bolt/upper issue

I having a mental block. I saw the thread yesterday but didn't want to sound like I lost my mind. Here goes, hopefully I'll remember the missing name(that I can't remember)... Wayne Daniel had the tolerances tightened on the guns(& 1983 is a very[I] early gun! First Year of SMG Production)...

Made in Miami At the Miami/Coconut Grove show, a local dealer had Intratec TEC9 serial numbers 1 & 2 for sale for $1500.00/pair a few years ago.

    Converting M10/9 to 45ACP?

Here's what I've seen (& done) for tight SWD/Cobray bolts. This DOES NOT work with original Powder Springs bolts, they will get stuck! This only works with the bolt as shown in Quaterbore's post. Read this & understand before attempting. Make sure the bolt body is beneath the area being struck...

    M-11 Fire Control Parts

They exist, deburred & some are blasted & some are ready to blast, then heat-treat & Armoloy. The newest sears are marked 'triangle 43', these incorporate Capt Monty & others requested improvement of having an on-size sear spring pocket, no need to align or use grease to hold it in place while...

    Converting M10/9 to 45ACP?

45 Bolts I don't think a conventional 45 bolt will work(or at least will not be the optimum setup). I am going to finish these 45 smg bolts with the feed lug & lip relief profile of an UZI .45ACP bolt. When finished, they should work in any Practical Solutions converted M10/9mm SMG using IMI mags.
