You have no clue how much I wish I could. I'll be around for a few more days anyway. After that, anyone that wants to chat can always catch me on MSN Messenger or one of my other boards that I have Frequent Posting Miles at. :D Karl.
I removed my avatar and sigline prior to closing out my account here. Due to recent events I resigned my position here and will be closing my account after I finish a few transactions with other board members. I'll miss you all, good luck and take care. Karl. :cry
:welcome Curt. First, the Model A sights are the same as the SMG sights and therefore made to work with a 10" barrel. The Model B sights were unique, and made to work with a 16" barrel. Since both a Model A and B must have a 16" barrel, the Model B is the best way to go if you plan on keeping...
I sent the second one yesterday. I made sure to keep the tag/receipt this time. I'll check each evening until it gets delivered. I also had them attempt to trace the other one without a number. They said it may just be a damaged label problem. Karl.
Yes, but as a registered alien you must also comply with other laws as well. Laws regarding to the fact that a citizen of another country must get permission from their country via their consulate. That can be difficult for many. Karl.
Yup, as they said, with that gun you can only do a legal conversion with a reg'd. bolt. That's what I have. The last ones I've seen in 9mm were $2,995.00. They shot from $2,000.00 to $2,995.00 as soon as the Vectors started to go up. Karl.
RoverDave will get to making changes to that library post this week. As for the FOIA request, that's tax info, it wont get you anywhere. All that info is part of tax records related to import taxes. And they can't give you copies of those records, and since those records weren't computerized...
Just a note for all. I have a friend that holds dual citizenship in the US and Switzerland. He spends 6 months a year here in Northern Colorado and the other 6 in Switzerland. He's the person that brought me those 9x21 barrels from Italy. What Piero1177 says, is true. He can legally make...
No conspiracy, just a lost piece of US mail. I don't have any more top covers that it can be done on either. Unless you can/will do it on an SA top cover. I'd like a mount for SA anyway. Let me know fast. I'll send it out this week. If both arrive, just do the FA. Karl.
Looks like an FA selector on the right to me. That "thingey" on the left is what blocks the sear when the safety/selector is in the safe position. The threaded hole is beyond me. Also, the extra part on the right, are a replacement for that safety that is missing. In other words, the cammy...
Nobody that knows the import dates is around and talking. ATF wont give that info out. The importer is long since gone. Send the info to RoverDave in a PM. Karl.
Yup, that's the way my barrel was. Threaded, and you use a modified barrel nut. But as long as the suppressor tightens against the barrel nut, it shouldn't come loose. Karl.
:lol Sorry, just don't want anyone thinking that the ratchet topcover will prevent discharges from dropping. It's important to understand the dangers of an open bolt gun. AD's into other people is your worst nightmare. I've seen three in my life and been the victim of one. So please excuse...
I have a Bushy barrel and shoot +P, and have tried +P+. But I just don't trust it to shoot all the time. For +P+, I ONLY trust factory barrels. IMI SMG barrels were rated to handle twice the pressure of +P+ ammo. That's a barrel that will handle +P+ for a lifetime. Aftermarket or SA barrels...
Uhhh, NO! The ratchet mechanism must be cocked in order to work. If you drop the gun, the ratchet was never engaged. Therefore........... Ka-BOOM! You're thinking of the bolt safety. It was made to cure the problem of discharges due to dropping. Karl.
Edit to add. The grip safety also...
