I had an SGW AR-15 that worked ok, in semi. Though failed to feed in auto on many occasions, it was magazine related. It used modified sterling mags. It was frustrating, to the point of disposing of the weapon.

my mod A doesn't have it . mod B's do. it's only apparent function is to prevent slam fire.

check and see if the selector lever was modified, if the little finger that contacts the blocking bar was removed(along with blocking bar) automatic fire will result. what i can't understand, is how can a semi bolt with no feed lip, fire auto.

sounds like weak ammo to me, as in your bolt is not traveling back far enough. try hotter rounds.

why can't vector build a weld on the bolt face, mill out a feed lip,then heat treat. like the old days.

i would opt for after market barrel, as per last three digets of ser. no. would disappear, when cut down. reducing value,as a unit.

looks like an old bolt with lightening cuts(reduce weight),per performance problems i.e. falure to feed,stove piping,and such.

they were more expensive in the 80,s i think action arms even sold them for a while.(30.00 or 40.00 bucks and at least looked like it)
