    Ratcheting top cover

Glad to help out and hear the technique worked for you too. I really enjoy mine and hope you like yours' too. Have a good Holiday weekend!

    Ratcheting top cover

DevilDoc, since we have the same model, see if this helps... Though there are several "teeth", mine at least will only lock back if I stop at the first one or two - but it holds great there. So... as I pull back tension to the rear, once I hear/feel the first one or two "teeth" catch I let go...

    Ratcheting top cover

Robert at RTG parts stocks some already modified units made by J.J. Custom that allow use with semi-autos. I picked up one of these and LOVE it! RTG advised they are black painted, but the J.J. Custom instructional sheet noted they were Parkerized. Regardless, it matched the finish of my...

    Semi-Auto Selectors = "F" to load?

Roger that, figured it had to be a simple answer. Thanks to both for the info.

    Semi-Auto Selectors = "F" to load?

Both the Action Arms and Vector semi-auto UZI Carbine manuals indicate to position the semi-auto selector into the "F" (fire) position when loading/charging the firearm... and then move the selector to "S" (safe). I'm sure there is a simple answer, but why on "F"? Most any other firearm...

It took 358 days - but I now have an UZI

As to the circle P, etc.. it is the proof mark and indicates it was made in Pretoria, South Africa by Lyttleton Engineering. Check out this magazine article on the Vectors linked in the UziTalk Libarary for more on the Vectors... (scroll down, about 1/2 way on Page 1)...

Vector or Century full size semi uzi

Getting back to your two choices... I've had a Vector full-size, semi, SBR for two years now and have zero issues. I have seen the occasional thread where someone has had a problem, however with their NIB 5-year warranty, I feel "covered" if I do have an issue. The Century ones, really seem to...

    Nosy Neighboors ???

A co-worker lives on about 20 acres well North of Houston. Her and her husband invite a bunch of us from both their jobs for an annual 4th of July shoot and cook-out. We have several NFA items amongst us. Two years in a row, neighbors called the Sheriff. First time they arrived and saw...

    Using SMG cover on semi-auto?

Thanks for this additional information! I love the concept of having a ratcheting top cover that can be used to lock back the semi-bolt on the range, etc. Not being able to lock it back was the only major issue I had with my Vector/Group Industries UZI SBR. Only downside for me was I'm no...

Looking for a barrel nut mount for my Trident 9

I also have a SWR (now Silencerco) Trident 9 that I got originally with both the LCD and HK 3-Lug mounts. About 15 months ago I was still able to order my UZI mount via Silencerco. However, I've heard the folks at SRI/Stalking Rhino are now providing the various mounts for the Trident 9s, in...

Do any distributers carry uzi bayonets?

They might also test-fit the bayonet on the Vector without the barrel nut in place. Mine was initially "catching" somewhere too. I tried that and found it mounted up to the Vector/GI lug, just fine. However, it was making contact directly under the barrel nut. I used a Dremel to relieve some...

    My Uzi Website!

Flash Back to 1985! Thanks! Shadeone, thanks for posting the new "toys" link. In addition to my real Vector/Group Industries full size, I've got one the Cybergun/KWCs bb versions for cheap back-yard fun with my Daughters. However, I really enjoyed the link/photos to the old 1985 Larami...

Will Quick-Detach Stock fit Vector Uzi?

Roger that, I wouldn't use a Dremel on the actual firearm per sea either. However it worked just fine with the $30.00 surplus, German QD stock bracket in this case. Fit on the Vector/GI UZI is now perfect. See below: BEFORE AFTER
