Well, finally got the ejector and extractor installed, and yeah, the gun's much more reliable now. Gunsmith fired 3 mags and had no issue, I fired 3 mags and had one light primer strike (most likely ammo related) and one failure to feed. The other rounds all ran fine with Federal HST hollow...

Was able to talk to Velocity today and he said he'll send me a new ejector and extractor. Let's see if that resolves the FTE issues.

Oh, not yet because FMJ worked fine even before. But given the primary issue seems to be failures to eject, that seems to no longer be a bullet design issue. Gonna call Velocity tomorrow if I have time to ask about it.

I just used the MacMachineGuns paddle lever that’s Grease Gun mag only since the VMAC was set up for those mags only as well. Wonder if being only Grease Gun compatible can cause issues.

Huh, any tutorial on how to do that? Never heard of that fix before. Would be something to try later.

The jams did occur with the original mag catch, though I have a paddle mag release now. I have thought about that too, but don’t know how to make the mag sit any higher. Will try that if the HST don’t work, though. What brand of hollow point have you used before? Will try Hornady Critical...

Yeah but modern hollow points do penetrate and expand. At least my rounds do (Winchester Ranger T). Definitely spent the big bux to get my hands on a lot of it. Any FMJ loads you’d recommend if I can’t get it running with these hollow points?

Yup, so hopefully they’re able to get something. I figure manufacturer with 500 rounds of ammo should be enough to get it working. However, that does assume it is even possible, hence why I also started this thread.

I’d be okay if just one or two magazines worth of hollow points ran fine. lol Luckily, Velocity got my gun and a case of 500 rounds I ordered for them today. They said they’re busy so might not have time to look at my gun for a couple days, but I’m okay with waiting as long as they get it working.
