Greetings! I attempted to install a 3-lug on my X95 and discovered that there aren't enough threads inside the mount for it to reach the shoulder of the barrel. There is about an 1/8 gap. Is it okay to run it like this? Is there an alternative fix? Thanks!

That is funny you mention the blown extractor. I am about to order a couple from barrelxchange. I don't remember what ammo I was shooting when it blew, but I haven't fired it in a couple years.

It sounds like it is an SBR lower and he is asking whether or not he can install a M-16 FCG. If that is the case, doing so is very illegal. Installing a gas piston upper of any length is perfectly fine. If I mis-read your post, my apologies.

I am thinking cut and thread back to the slide and relocate the front sight to the front of the slide. I think there are some factory guns out there in similar configuration, but not threaded. What do you think, good idea?

I just traded an old beat up Russian captured k98 for a Yugo SKS 59/66. It is one that was imported by Cherrys and it is beautiful. I want to get a Russian, a Romanian, and a Albanian next. I almost don't don't want to shoot it. haha Congrats on your first gun!

I am about to sell my .45 conversion kit and was wanting to properly ID it before I sell it. I bought it from Vector in 2002 and just never use it. How do you tell if you have a IMI or a Group Industries bolt? How about the barrel? It has ".45" on it and the barrel. Thanks!
